When firstly deciding upon the stock key considerations were outlined. Firstly the stock should be environmental, as mass publications would cause environmental harm. Secondly a matt stock should be used as these are easier to recycle and do not mimic the 'glossy' magazines in which often depict females in a negative light. Magazines such as 'heat' and 'closer' are key examples of this.
The stock weight decided upon was 120gsm, as this is easy to fold (no crease marks), and would express a light feel design.
