When thinking upon what colour would express a feminine outlook it would be very stereotypical to use that of a baby pink as it is evident that this explores a very girly approach. But when thinking about the word 'girly' it is often expressed that this is a negative within design, although it is only expressing a gender. As a result of this it was decided that a pink should be used in order to allow it positive connotations, expressing strong female designers.

Below are some quotes in which aim to support my response.

“Society has put up so many boundaries, so many limitations on what’s right and wrong that it’s almost impossible to get a pure thought out. It’s like a little kid, a little boy, looking at colors, and no one told him what colors are good, before somebody tells you you shouldn't like pink because that’s for girls, or you’d instantly become a gay two-year-old. Why would anyone pick blue over pink? Pink is obviously a better color. Everyone’s born confident, and everything’s taken away from you."-Kanye West

'There are less political reasons that people don't like pink, of course, and it'd be ridiculous to expect a revolution based upon a pigment. But hating the color because of its Barbie-like associations feels to me like a form of internalized misogyny. It creates not only a kind of hierarchy between men and women, but between certain types of women and others as well.'-https://www.bustle.com/articles/100324-the-color-pink-has-a-complicated-past-present-but-maybe-the-future-can-be-better
