Survey on femininity



In order to gain a better understanding surrounding what others think about femininity, and being a women,  primary research was undergone within a survey format. This being open to both sexes of all ages.

Results 






What do you associate with femininity?

When asking what individuals associated with feminity a broad range of answers were collected, although it is evident that traditional femininity is an obvious route. This including pink, red, flowers, love, and glitter. 




Are you a feminist? 

The vast majority of individuals stated that they were a feminist, although a minority group did suggest that they were not a feminist. 





Have you ever bought a feminist magazine? 

The majority stated that they had not bought a feminist magazine, with some even unsure. In the comment section multiple people stated that they would buy one if they could find one cheaply on the market.



Which of the following topic areas would you most like to learn more about? 

All the topic areas in which I had higglighted gained atleast 4 responses, although the vast majority wanted to learn about rape culture, genital mutilation and women's role within society.



Conclusion 

From these results, my design can now become more informed. 



  • draw from the traditioanl feminimity outlined within the first response. 
  • Capture article subjects in which the consumer is intrested. 
  • The vast majority of young people (ABC1) are feminists
  • Most people have not bought a feminist magazine as a result of exposure and price.
