Following on from the practical critique, a ven diagram was developed, highlighting the key attributes in which I found effective about the two, very different feminist publications.
A broad range of factors were outlined, focusing upon type, grid systems, aesthetic, and iconography. It was also outlined that collaborations may be an effective way in which to present a range of visual media. Elements in which transcended between the two are key focal points, these include: Colour, pink, photography and a range of mediums. It was also discussed how the publication will be physically devised, although further research must be completed before this is outlined.
Key terms have been specifically outlined in order to ensure they are maintained within the piece. Although legibility is essential, it does not have to restrict the design. It must also be considered how print will effect this. In order to develop a 'kitch' aesthetic, a range of imagery must be explored, as well as type.
