initial drawings

In order to gain a better understanding of the visual language in which is to be preseted within the publication, initial sketches were devised. These making comments upon the structure, and as to how the publication will be presented.

A broad range of spreads were devised in order to embed a range of subtle 'postmodern' trends. This is to enusre that the publication is structured and clear to read, but also mimics that of graphic design produced by women, during the second wave of feminism. Promoting the magazine as an activation piece.

In order to 'break the boundaries' the crease was often suceeded by type and image. Images often also surrounded by some form of frame, this relating to the feminist magazines in which I have previously studied, promoting a feminine edge.

As I would not suggest that I am a postmodern designer, concerns may be raised surrounding whether this will look aesthically pleasing, and in turn gain the consumers attention. As a result of this, mass feedback should be given throughout.
