Front cover initial drawings

From the research undergone, a variety of sketches were developed in which showcase ways in which the magazine cover can contrast that of traditional covers in which embody and objectify women.

As traditioanl women's magazines often contain the related topics on the cover, this was bypassed within my design in an attempt to constrast these publications. A range of designs were devised in which promote illustrations/type, in turn contrasting the traditional glossy images presneted.

The concepts in which appeared most effective included that of the protest, cat, and typography approaches. The protest concept focuses upon the idea of hand-writting signs for a protest. An effort in which women have gone to for centuaries in order to promote equal rights.

These concepts will be further explored through digital designs.
