Final variation and production

In order to gain the consumers attention the final cover promotes a vast amount of colour, in which contrasts traditional women's magazines. Imagery used also does not promote unrelaistic images of women, this again developing a contrast. In realtion to the magazines currently available, the design developed attempts to combat related issues through parody, pastiche and a rhetoric of mimicory. This in turn promoting a final design in which would uplift women, promoting issues in which women really care about.


Sending to print


As uni's double sided printer is currently broken, this has resulted in myself going to a proffesional printers to complete the production. This also creating a further link between traditional women's magazines and my own publication.

It was decided that the stock to be used would be a matt, combatting the glossy magazines. The sizing, in which has been previously disussed, will be A5. This creating a corrolation to feminist publications and disgarding the traitional size of women's magazines. In turn ensuring that the publication stands out on the shelf.

As the publication has to have a page number in which is dividable by four, some initial blank pages were introduced. These making the design feel simialr to a book, embedding the legitimacy of the content within. CMYK considerations were also made.
