minimal posters

As I wanted my approach to target that of a younger demographic I decided to explore minimal approaches, as it is a common perception that young people are 'lazy' and want their information directly given to them.  I also felt that a minimal deisgn style would allow the poster to appear legible from a distance.

Pull the string on war. This idea expresses a popular phrase in a simplistic yet interesting format. As the phrase is commonly recognised the design is also appalled and thus the consumer thinks more specifically about the concept behind the deisgn.

This design expressing the nature of the American landscape with a strong influence being on that of the New York skyline. It suggests that America is built financially upon such cities and the industry in which they are formed.

By splitting the states into individual speech bubbles it suggests that each individual has a voice and thus their vote matters.

Although not a political poster this minimal poster effectively explores the environments influence upon wildlife with the idea of a penguin melting.

The above designs explore minimal shapes and colour palettes in order to develop impact posters in which draw straight to the issue expressed. I will explore with this format when developing my own poster.
